Clara Ashe-Moore is a lighting and projections designer from Asheville, NC. In May of 2020 she graduated with a BFA in Lighting Design from University of North Carolina School of the Arts. As a student she designed several shows including: Bernstein’s MASS, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Stick Fly. She has also assisted and programmed professionally.
Clara is currently a Kennedy Center Kenan Fellow specializing in Lighting and Projection Design for the 2021-2022 season.
Clara is inspired by a wide variety of sources ranging from her grandmother to the sunlight at 6pm in early October on the Blue Ridge Parkway. She loves cooking, crocheting, and reading. She is passionate about a lot of societal issues, particularly women’s rights. She believes in the ability of art to facilitate discussions and change.
